How do I travel to the circuit?

By Coach

You can reach the circuit by one of the red and white metrobúses that will be running throughout the race weekend. Metrobus Línea 2 (the purple line) will be running each day over the race weekend and is the closest bus route to the circuit. Head in the direction of Telpalcates in the Iztapalapa borough, east of downtown Mexico City, with the nearest stops being UPIICSA and El Rodeo. From here it is a short walk to Gates 13 and 14. Metrobús fares cost 6 pesos, which can only be paid for by tapping your travel card at the barrier. There are machines where you can buy and top-up a card at each station, please note these are payable by cash only.

The circuit will be providing Ticket2Ride bus services from various places in Mexico City directly to the circuit and back. This transportation will collect and drop off at the UPICSA parking lot, located at Sur 187 esq. Av. Vanilla. These tickets are only available to purchase in advance.

By Train

The circuit is located fairly centrally and can be reached using Mexico City's extensive metro network. From the city centre, take Metro Línea 9 (the Coffee line) towards Pantitlán where there are three stations, each approximately a 15 minute walk from the circuit. Depending on where you will be sitting throughout the weekend, head to the following station:

Velódromo - for ticketholders in Foro Sol North and Foro Sol South Grandstands.

Ciudad Deportiva - for those in the Main Grandstand.

Puebla - for ticketholders in Grandstands 3, 4, 5, 6, General Admission 6A, and Platinum 9, 10 and 11 Grandstands.

Metro services run all weekend. All metro fares cost approximately 5 pesos, and are payable by cash only. Paper tickets can be purchased at the ticket booth inside each metro station, or alternatively a smart card can be purchased for 10 pesos. The card can be charged with up to 120 pesos credit and can be used for multiple people travelling together. As the metro is the most convenient travel option, it can be extremely busy, especially on race day. We therefore recommend to head to the circuit early to avoid the larger crowds.

By Taxi

You can also take a taxi to and from the circuit. Uber is a popular and convenient taxi option available in Mexico City and the app can be downloaded from the Apple App Store or Google Play. Please note that this option only allows you to pay by credit or debit card. You can also verify a registered taxi driver through the Taxiaviso website. Alternatively, your hotel reception could be an invaluable source of information, and assist with booking a taxi through a reputable company. We recommend arranging taxi transfers in advance to reduce waiting times.

Walking

As the circuit is located within Mexico City, it is accessible by foot from the south-east region of the city.
